ToonSync helps you discover titles, keep lists, and share recommendations. Here is where your information goes when you use those features.
Guest mode and accounts
Guest profiles, preferences, lists, and saved progress stay in this browser’s storage. They are not automatically uploaded to an account. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to access its local data. Clearing this site’s browser storage removes it.
Accounts use Supabase for sign-in and storage. Your email and authentication information are used for account access. Your username is discoverable by other signed-in users; friendship requests and recommendations are shared with their participants. Lists and preferences belong to your account.
Account deletion is available in Profile. It requests deletion of your account and associated application data; a failed request is reported. It does not erase information already received by other services or their backups.
AI assistance is a choice
Bulk add’s mixed-title mode sends the pasted text, extracted title information, and public catalog candidates through ToonSync’s server to TypeSafe’s Jev model. Jev helps interpret the list and choose matching catalog titles. You review the suggestions and choose what to save.
Choose “One type · no AI” to parse the text on your device instead. Title, year, and artist searches still go to the catalogs. “Search by meaning” separately sends the description you submit and public catalog metadata to TypeSafe.
These requests do not include your ToonSync email, authentication credentials, or saved library. Anything you paste or type can still contain personal information: avoid including it. TypeSafe’s privacy policy says it does not train on submitted input; it may retain data as described there.
Catalogs, previews, and source links
Movie and series metadata comes from TMDB; music metadata comes from Deezer. Availability and music links may use JustWatch data, Watchmode, Movie of the Night, or Odesli. Requests reveal the searched title or media identifier to the relevant service.
Artwork, provider icons, and previews can load from external services, including Google’s favicon service, Clearbit, YouTube, Vimeo, and Videasy. Those services can receive your IP address and media or source identifier, and apply their own storage and privacy practices. Some previews load automatically while browsing.
Your selected source URL and media types are stored with your preferences. Opening an external link sends you to that service, which can receive the title or episode in the link. URL formatting checks do not verify playback availability, safety, or distribution rights. Use sources you have permission to access.
Operational data
Hosting, authentication, and external API services may process request metadata and diagnostic logs. Device pairing and assisted searches use limited request counters to prevent abuse. ToonSync does not promise that external providers keep no logs or delete every backup immediately.

This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Watch provider data is provided by JustWatch. Artwork and media remain the property of their respective owners.
